Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy

The Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (KY-ASAP) was created in 2000 to develop a strategic plan to reduce the prevalence of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use among youth and adult populations in Kentucky and coordinate efforts among state and local agencies in the area of substance misuse prevention. The mission of the Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (KY-ASAP) is to develop a long-term strategy that is designed to reduce the incidence of youth and adult smoking and tobacco addictions, promote resistance to smoking, reduce incidence of substance abuse, and promote effective treatment of substance abuse throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
